Research has shown that pursuing the creative arts promotes healthy aging. Therapeutic art enhances cognitive reserves, externalizes emotions and promotes the pursuit of meaningful activity as we grow older. The art process facilitates mindfulness by engaging the artist in a solitary and meaningful creative activity. Elaine offers individual sessions and group workshops to those who are interested in mindful creative exploration and growth through phototherapy and mixed media collage.
